Return to the top of the page ![]() AGRICULTURE Forestry: The total area of Bradley County is 418,649 acres. Of the acreage, 353,600 is forest land primarily loblolly pine and hardwood timber. Commercial forest represents 88% of landmass. Of the forest area, 51% is owned by industry and the remaining 49% state, federal and privately owned. Beef: Bradley County produces 5500-6000 head of beef cattle. The county beef industry consists primarily of cow/calf operations and purebred herds. Cattle is marketed through the Saline and Ouachita Valley Sale Barn located at Warren, Arkansas. The Saline and Ouachita Valley Sale Barn serves as the primary beef market for Bradley, Drew, Cleveland, Calhoun, and Dallas counties with total volume of 13,000 15,000 head valued at $4-5 million annually. Tomatoes: Bradley County is nationally known for its high quality and superior flavored tomato. Approximately 600 acres of fresh market tomatoes are produced annually. Tomatoes are still marketed through the Warren Tomato Market, one of a few true tomato auctions still operating in the country. Each year over one-half million boxes valued at $4-6 million are marketed through the Warren Tomato Market. Poultry: Integrated poultry production in Bradley County is headquartered out of Pine Bluff Tyson Foods. Presently 20 million broilers are produced annually.
